Pulse – How to Install Hardware (Stand-alone)

In this article we’ll go over the steps to install the Pulse monitor.

Step 1) Determining location of Monitor on dash. Typically, the monitor is mounted to the dash using a RAM mount or Velcro.

Step 2) Determining power. Depending on the type of power cord you have, connect the pulse monitor to the 12v accessory outlet or hard wire the power & ground to the vehicles wiring harness.

Step 3) Determining location for Antenna. Depending on the vehicle and antenna type, the location for the antenna will differ.

For dipole antennas, it’s recommended to attach them to either the front windshield, under the rear-view mirror, or on the rear window. This antenna is not designed for outdoor use.

For coax antenna kits, it’s recommended to install the antennas under the vehicle in a centralized location. If installing on a large commercial vehicle, it’s recommended to put the antenna near the rear axle. This antenna is designed for outdoor use.

Step 4) Next step is to power on the Pulse and program sensors. For steps on programing please follow the steps in Pulse – How to Add Sensors to New Vehicle
